Farnborough Road Infant School - Reception - Autumn 2014

All of our reception children have settled in well to full time school.

They are all getting to know each other and the different routines of each day.

The children are enjoying learning new literacy and numeracy skills using jolly phonics, oxford reading tree and numicon resources.

The children have enjoyed learning through play and using our outdoor environment to develop key skills in all curriculum areas.

The reception children have all met their year 2 buddy and throughout the year they will meet up to develop their relationships further.  Year 2 children have felt great pride in having a reception child as their buddy and our reception children have liked to interact with the older children in our school.

Stay and Share week was a huge success and the children really enjoyed showing their grown ups what they have been learning about in phonics.  Look out later in this academic year for other opportunities to stay and share with us all.

Show and Tell begins this term and the children will bring home a letter when it is their turn.  Please look out for these in book bags.

On the class pages you will see lots of lovely photographs of the children enjoying different activities in the autumn term.
