The children have all settled in happily to nursery and are having fun with the activities on offer. Our topic for the term is 'Autumn'. We have enjoyed looking for signs of Autumn in the garden, collecting leaves, pinecones and conkers. The children made delicious vegetable soup and most of them tasted and liked it!
Fireworks night went with a bang - the children enjoyed making rockets and catherine wheels of their own and using plenty of glitter!
At this time of year animals are getting ready for winter and hibernating. The children have made clay hedgehogs and enjoyed listening to stories. They are having great fun playing in our bear cave! _ making tea for 'big bear and little bear' and exploring light and dark, using torches and reflective materials.
As we approach winter we will be looking at cold colours, before moving onto Christmas activities in December.
