What a busy week we've had for our first week back! We are working hard in Maths, practising place value by reading, writing and making large numbers using lots of resources. In English we have been learning when to use question marks in our sentences.
Miss Vicky came to teach us contemporary dance. We learned some cool moves.
Junior Chef was fun as always. We learned about the importance of a healthy breakfast in the morning to get us ready for the day and we had a fabulous time creating our own berry crunch.
Great fun at the Easter Fair. We won eggs on the tombola, decorated biscuits, treated ourselves to cakes and even got our arms tattooed!
Thank you PTA for all your help!
We've had lots of energetic fun and raised money at the same time!
Chicken Week - day 4
A lovely day feeding the chickens today. We found 6 eggs and all managed a little cuddle!
Chicken week - day 3
Who would have thought that chickens love roast potatoes? An eventful day in the chicken run today!!!
Chicken week - day 2
Another 7 eggs today. They will come in handy for baking cakes for Sport Relief.
Chicken week - day 1
What a beautiful day for feeding the chickens! They were extremely greedy but we did find 8 eggs!
Room 10 have begun their Tennis lessons in PE. We've had lots of fun!
We have got off to a super start this week with a visit from the author of 'Goats don't wear capes'. We loved listening to the story and tried to use our own imagination to think of other animals in different clothing!!
A Happy New Year to you all!
What a busy, yet exciting start we have had to our new term!
Our topic for the Spring term is 'The Rainforest'. We have looked at atlases and maps to find out where they are located in the world and have begun to learn about the amazing animals that live there. We can't wait for our trip to Chester Zoo on 3rd February to see some of these animals for real!
We have been developing our DT skills by creating Rainforest environments using old shoe boxes. Watch this space for photos once they are finished!
This week in school it has been Science and Technology week. We have been learning about how communication technology has changed over time from the invention of telephones and the postal service right up to the current time of sending e-mails and using Skype! We enjoyed writing letters about our favourite electronic gadgets and posting them in the letter box.
We took part in a 'Wild Workshop' where we had proper 'hands on' experiences with slugs, snails and mice! We also had an amazing time in the hall with a Science and Technology workshop, investigating, exploring and creating new inventions!
