Spring Term - Mrs Hookham's class

Happy New Year to everyone! We had a very busy December, with Christmas parties, concerts and activities. The children have settled happily back into nursery and are pleased to see all their friends again. We have started this term with a 'winter' theme (move onto pattern and shape later) and already have been out in the garden to watch the snow falling and look at it with magnifying glasses. The children followed this up by painting snowmen and decorating snowflakes. We are also looking at clothes worn in winter and are trying to put our coats on ourselves! (with a little help with fastenings). Not forgetting the animals, we will be making bird feeders to hang outside too. Chineses new year and pancake day are in Febuary, so we are changing the role-play to a chinese resturant, with menus and paper for children to write down the orders!
