Well what a great start it has been to the Summer Term! Our Animals topic is well underway. We have been learning about mini-beasts using non-fiction books and the internet. We have been drawing and making models of mini-beasts as well as moving like mini-beasts during our P.E. sessions and outdoors. We also went on our own mini-beast hunt and were amazed at how many different types we found!
We have now moved onto wild animals and this started with an inspirational trip to Knowsley Safari Park. We enjoyed touching some animals in safari school and we thought the Bug House was especially exciting as it contained, amongst other things, a chameleon, snakes, lizards and a tarantula! During the game drive we were super observers – and we certainly saw a lot of different animals!
As well as this we have been continuing to do our Show and Tells, which even the quietest of children love to do. It gives them a real chance to talk about something that is special to them and have other children share in their enjoyment.
We have been continuing to work hard with our maths and literacy work too – we are very busy people! Please take some time to enjoy the pictures we have shared.
