Pupil Premium at Farnborough Road Infant School

Learning, Caring and Achieving Together

At Farnborough Road Infant School, we are committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive, achieve and participate fully in school life, regardless of their background or circumstances.

Pupil Premium is additional government funding provided to schools to improve educational outcomes for disadvantaged pupils.

Our Pupil Premium Strategy 2026–2029 is informed by research, including guidance from the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), alongside our detailed understanding of children’s individual needs and the barriers they may face.

We prioritise high-quality teaching for all children, supported by carefully targeted academic interventions and wider strategies that promote attendance, wellbeing, inclusion and engagement in learning.

Our approach focusses on strengthening early language, communication, reading, writing and mathematics, while ensuring that disadvantaged children have equitable access to the full curriculum, enrichment opportunities and wider school experiences.

We work closely with families and regularly evaluate the impact of our provision, using assessment information, attendance data and wider evidence to refine our approach and ensure that funding makes a meaningful difference.

Our ambition is to remove barriers, close gaps in achievement and enable every child to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills needed for future success.
