Admission appeals
If parents wish to appeal against the Local Authority's decision to refuse entry, they can do so by applying to the LA. An independent panel considers all such appeals, and its decision is binding for all parties concerned.
FRIS School Prospectus
For admissions for Reception or In-year admissions please see the Local Authority’s annual admissions information booklet which informs parents how to apply for a place at the school of their choice. Parents have a right to express their preference, but this does not, in itself, guarantee a place at that particular school. Applications should be made online at www.sefton.gov.uk/admissions
Applications for our 2 year old or 3 year old Nursery should be made directly to the school using the application form below.
Applications for Nursery 2-year-olds and 3-year-olds should be made directly to the school. Please return completed application forms to admin.fris@schools.sefton.gov.uk

What our parents said :
"Your school was highly recommended by a close friend, I arranged a visit with Mrs Taylor and after a lovely tour around FRIS I instinctively knew my daughter would love this school. She has been here since she was 2 and every day she has had a fantastic day! This really is a wonderful school"
" The size of FRIS could put some parents off but there is no need as everyone knows everyone and it is very personal."
" We chose FRIS because of the positive feedback from other parents whose children had attended and local sport coaches who were also full of praise"
"I think the school and its staff are brilliant and all go over and above for their children. Thank you."
"I think Farnborough Road is one of the best school around this area."

Attendance Policy
Children's University
We try to offer lots of clubs outside normal lessons. these take place at lunchtime, after school and sometimes before school. The range varies from football to Computing Club, Christmas crafts to Little Voices, Musical Theatre to Judo.
Usually our clubs are free, but we do use some outside providers who charge for attendance. We try to keep these to a minimum.
All of our clubs are linked to Sefton's Children's University. This accredits learning outside the classroom and pupils need to attend 30 hours of activities to graduate at the end of Year 2 at Edge Hill University. Pupils can also collect credits in their own Children's University Passport, which parents can purchase from the Infant School Office, so that they can gain credit for clubs outside school e.g swimming, Rainbows and Beavers. There are an increasing number of accredited places in our local area and these can be found on the Children's University website www.childrensuniversity.co.uk. Children can collect many credits in this way including visiting museums and art galleries, historical sites, the theatre and the zoo to name a few.
All children automatically take part in this scheme in school.
