Stay and Learn - How to help your child at home in Year 1 and Year 2
Our Early Years children progress from the Foundation Stage into Key Stage One, starting with Year One and then into Year Two before heading off to Farnborough Road Junior School.
The National Curriculum is just one element in the education of every child. It provides an outline of core knowledge around which our teachers develop exciting and stimulating lessons to promote the development of pupils’ knowledge, understanding and skills as part of the wider school curriculum.
As a 4 form entry school our year group teams work together to develop a very creative and inspiring curriculum. Our curriculum maps document this for each year group and provide an insight into what our children will be learning.
At Farnborough Road Infant School, we are committed to providing inspirational and innovative teaching and the highest quality learning experiences for all our pupils. We aim to create an environment which promotes curiosity, a love and thirst for learning and empowers our children to become independent, lifelong learners. We ensure every child is valued, challenged and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
