Healthy Snacks Week
Snack Attack!
Ditch the crisps and sweets and choose a healthy after school snack.
Children and parents from Nursery and Reception were able to try a range of healthy snacks at the end of the school day on Wednesday 14th May. Year 1 and Year 2 children and their families enjoyed the treats on Friday 16th.
As part of a Healthy Eating Project with other Southport schools our aim is to introduce new tempting foods to enjoy after school instead of crisps and sweets.
The children tried carrots, peppers and celery, along with rice cakes, bread sticks and oat cakes with tasty dips - humous, salsa, soft low fat cheese and tzatziki.
